ASICS Running Shorts – Review
July 23, 2007
OK so I didn’t quite review something everyday last week but the intention was good. Not wanting the meat and potatoes to be swinging in the wind in my new New Balance pants I purchased some new ASIC shorts to keep me descent.
Item: ASIC 1000 Element Boxer Short – ASHOW710
Size: Medium
Colour: Black
Price: $29.95 (Rebel Sport) – $39.95 (ASIC Web Site)
Review: Parachute pants. ASIC previews to use terms like Thermopolis, Hydrology, Seamology and UV Cut. But to me, they are just shorts made from parachute material. They are very light and you can fit a security pass in the key pocket. Nice one ASIC. I actually don’t like the running style shorts with the high cut in them. I always get bad chaffing when I wear them. These have a built in lining so no jocks required which is nice but the material they used for the lining is more cloth like than my other shorts and is white. Figure out the rest for yourself.
SIZES: S-XXL
FABRIC: Ripstop Poly
COLOURS: Black, Navy, Charcoal
Good Points: Light, comfy, reasonable price, nice pocket.
The not so Good:Internal lining not as good as some other shorts I have.
Buy them if: You like boxer style shorts and don’t mind running in parachute material.
Dont buy them if: You don’t want to be seen pounding the pavement in shiny parachute pants.
